    PEMANFAATAN MEDIA YOUTUBE DALAM PEMBELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM

    Learning activities in this digital era have had to utilize internet media with various platforms including Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. Islamic education is a compulsory subject for all types and levels of education. PAI teachers are required to have the ability to modify their learning, so that PAI materials will be interesting and liked by students. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of YouTube media in PAI learning. This research is a type of qualitative research with a case study approach. The technique of data collection is done by interview, observation and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using Miles and Huberman interactive analysis. The results of this study stated that PAI teachers at Kartini Junior High School in their learning activities used YouTube a lot, especially when learning worship themes that required practice, such as the theme of Hajj or Umrah, obligatory prayers, eclipse prayers. , funeral prayers, and other worship services. This is because YouTube is cheaper, easier to access and can provide practical learning examples

    Persediaan dan perancangan pengajaran guru Pendidikan Islam menyepadukan Ilmu Sains dan al-Quran

    Perancangan pengajaran bermaksud pemahaman guru tentang apa yang harus disampaikan dan proses pengajaran perlu dilaksanakan adalah berasaskan kepada kesesuaian pelajar dan keperluan isi kandungan bidang tersebut. Kajian ini bertujuan meneroka tentang aspek perlaksanaan persediaan dan perancangan guru pendidikan Islam (GPI) menyepadukan ilmu sains dan Al Quran dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran. Kajian in melibatkan seramai empat GPI yang mengajar di maahad tahfiz sains yang melaksanakan kurikulum integrasi aliran tahfiz sains. Pemilihan empat peserta yang ditemubual kajian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Kajian ini menggunakan perisian program Atlas t.i 7.5.7 untuk menganalisa setiap dapatan yang diperolehi. Dapatan kajian mendapati terdapat tiga tema utama berdasarkan perspektif berdasarkan maklum balas keempat-empat peserta kajian. Pertama adalah merancang pengajaran dan sub tema Rancangan Pengajaran Harian dan Rancangan Pengajaran Tahunan, kedua adalah tema penyediaan bahan bantu mengajar dan sub tema adalah bahan teknologi maklumat dan komunikasi, ketiga adalah tema perbincangan dan subtemanya adalah rakan-rakan. Oleh yang demikian, guru perlu merancang dan membuat persediaan pengajaran yang dapat membangun kesedaran, kefahaman dan keyakinan pelajar-pelajar yang Allah s.w.t adalah satu-satu-Nya Tuhan Pencipta yang wajib disembah. Perancangan pengajaran hendaklah disusun dengan lebih teratur terutamanya dalam aspek perancangan aktiviti pengajaran dan pembelajaran, bahan bantu mengajar dan perbincangan dengan rakan guru agar memberikan kesan yang maksimum kepada tahap pemerolehan ilmu dalam kalangan pelajar

    Bahagian Pendidikan Islam, Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor appreciates and recognizes the service of Guru Pendidikan Islam (GPI). This recognition is seen from teacher's competency and commitment aspects in delivering duties as educators. Therefore, this study revolves around researching features in GPI knowledge competency concept in Sekolah Rendah Agama Integrasi (SRAI) negeri Selangor. Objective of this study; to explore the knowledge competency of GPI SRAI. This study uses a study case design with findings are discussed descriptively. Qualitative data obtained from semi structural interviews in class teacher’s teaching observation and document analysis. NVivo10 was used to identify teacher’s competency theme and factors by analysing data in continuous comparison technique. As many as five GPI has been chosen as interviewee. Overall, the study found that the knowledge competency factors in the content aspect of GPI’s lesson are subjects, syllabus, appreciation of practice and interest. The pattern of the findings of this study produced GPI’s competency models namely GPI Knowledge Competency Model (GPIKCM). This study can be used as a guide to all parties, especially to the State Islamic Education Division, District Islamic Education Unit, schools and teachers. Bahagian Pendidikan Islam, Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor menghargai dan mengiktiraf perkhidmatan Guru Pendidikan Islam (GPI). Pengiktirafan ini dilihat daripada aspek kompetensi dan komitmen guru dalam melaksanakan amanah sebagai pendidik. Oleh yang demikian, kajian ini bertujuan mendalami konsep kompetensi guru pendidikan Islam di Sekolah Rendah Agama Integrasi (SRAI) negeri Selangor. Manakala objektif khusus kajian ini adalah bagi meneroka kompetensi pengetahuan dari aspek isi kandungan pelajaran yang diajar oleh GPI SRAI. Kajian ini menggunakan reka bentuk kajian kes yang dibincangkan dapatannya secara deskriptif. Data kualitatif diperoleh melalui temu bual semi berstruktur, pemerhatian pengajaran dan analisis dokumen. Data ini dianalisis dengan teknik perbandingan berterusan menggunakan perisian Nvivo10 bagi mengeluarkan tema kompetensi pengetahuan isi kandungan pelajaran GPI. Seramai lima GPI dipilih sebagai peserta temu bual kajian ini. Secara keseluruhannya, kajian mendapati faktor kompetensi pengetahuan dalam aspek isi kandungan pelajaran GPI terdiri daripada aspek subjek, sukatan pelajaran, penghayatan amalan dan minat. Pola dapatan kajian ini menghasilkan kerangka model kompetensi GPI iaitu Model Kompetensi Pengetahuan GPI (MKPGPI). Kajian ini boleh dijadikan panduan kepada semua pihak khususnya kepada Bahagian Pendidikan Islam Negeri, Unit Pendidikan Islam Daerah, sekolah dan guru-guru

    The Role Of Teachers In Embedding Islamic Values And Ethics In Education: A Literature Review

    The purpose of this paper is to investigate the role of teachers in embedding Islamic values and ethics in education. The rationale of this study is by understanding how Islamic Education teachers should play their roles in embedding Islamic values and ethics, could perhaps contribute to better ways of students’ behavior development. In this regard, the study has focused on exploring how the roles of  Islamic Education teachers, and the challenges that affect the teachers in promoting Islamic values and ethics in education. The study used a library research design. The data were collected from research articles published in either international or national accredited journals. The research findings show although the elements of Islamic values and ethics seem to be discussed in Islamic Education, students show low Islamic values and ethics in their behavior. The study recommends several approaches to improve the teaching of Islamic values and ethics in schools which include training for teachers to improve the methodology of teaching and providing teaching and learning facilities. It is also suggested that an open discussion is conducted between parents, teachers, students, policymakers, and religious leaders to develop a guideline on what should be included in the syllabus and how to cultivate Islamic values and ethics in education effectively.   Keywords: Role Of Teacher, Islamic Values, Ethic

    Analysis of the implementation of contextual teaching and learning components in Islamic education and characters textbook SMK class X

    Islamic Education Teachers of SMKN 2 Padang Panjang use Islamic Education and Characters Textbook published by the Erlangga Publisher to convey the material to Grade Ten students. Contextual teaching and learning approaches are implemented by teachers to assist them in associating a material according to the student’s real life situation by involving seven key components namely constructivism, inquiry, questioning, learning community, modelling, reflecting and authentic assessment. This study aims to find out the implementation of contextual teaching and learning components in the Islamic Education and Characters textbook of SMK Class X published by the Erlangga Publisher. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach by analysing the Islamic Education and Characters textbook based on the seven components of contextual teaching and learning approaches. The data of this study has been collected through the marking of the scoring sheet which is concentrated on the scoring criteria on each contextual teaching and learning component. Then, the data obtained was analysed by the percentage scores of each aspect of the seven approach components. The results show that the Islamic Education and Characters textbook of SMK Class X published by the Erlangga Publisher was compiled based on the contextual teaching and learning approach with the following percentage: 80% for constructivism; 100% for inquiries; 91.6% for questioning; 100% for the learning community; 78.3% for modelling; 100% for reflection; and 100% for authentic assessment

    The intellect of AbĆ« Hāmid Al-GhazālÄ« in dealing with the Qur’anic scientific exegesis

    AbĆ« Hāmid al-GhazālÄ« is considered one of the prominent Muslim thinkers and scholars in the traditional Muslim world. He has produced numerous intellectual sources comprehensively. This paper aims to analyze AbĆ« Hāmid al-Ghazālī’s views on dealing with the scientific exegesis. This was investigated from his thoughtful and broad understanding of its principle and underlying purpose. The essential understanding of the principle of scientific exegesis was analytically discussed in his magnum opus; Jewels of the Qur’ān. To reach a representative conclusion, this study undertakes an analysis of the al-GhazālÄ« view, promotes intellectual discourse, and venerated exegesis as the main sources of reference by adopting the document analysis method. The finding shows that AbĆ« Hāmid al-Ghazālī’s discussion on scientific exegesis emphasized on relevance to contemporary practice and the modern context of Islam. It set forth an important framework and methodology for the integration of the Quran and science. This leads to the collaboration between two branches of knowledge and has come to be known as ‘scientific exegesis’ that the Qur’ān contains verses that point to scientific discoveries such as the roundness of the earth; the orbit of the earth around the sun; and the uniqueness of human fingerprints. It will provide students, educators, researchers, and scholars with a resource for understanding and responding to faithful Islamic sciences issues that are of concern to contemporary Islam and to society

    The effects of Islamic education teachers' readiness in teaching sexual health elements

    Teachers’ readiness in teaching is crucial in producing and creating effective teaching methods, especially towards the mastery, practices among secondary school teachers. Therefore, this paper discusses a study of the Malaysian teachers’ readiness in teaching the sex education elements based on four aspects which are personality, knowledge, skills and attitudes. A set of questionnaire was used as the research instrument to evaluate the level of the teachers’ readiness who were respondents of this study. The data was analyzed using the IBM SPSS Statistic (Predictive Analytic Software) version 23 in a descriptive manner using the frequency of mean, percentage and standard deviation. The result of the descriptive analysis showed that the level of the respondents readiness was intermediate (mean=4.70; sd=0.74). and their level of readiness in teaching sexual education elements was at a high level. The inference analysis utilized the t-test and the One-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The t-test and ANOVA were utilized to identify the significant differences upon the respondents’ level of readiness based on school’s location, gender, academic qualification and teaching experience

    Risiko Gangguan Seksual di dalam Rumah kepada Remaja: The Risk of Sexual Harassment in House to Teenagers

    Sexual harassment is a sexually oriented act committed against another person either verbally, non-verbally, physically, or emotionally. Sexual harassment can occur to female teenagers whether they are inside or outside home. This quantitative study used questionnaires that were analysed using SPSS 2.0. The objective of the study is to explore the extent of domestic sexual harassment risk on female teenagers while they are at home. A total of 84 girls from the age of nine to fifteen in Selangor participated in this study where they have received consent from their parents and guardians to participate in this study. This study found that 7.14% of the participants admitted that they like to wear sexy clothes at home and had watched pornographic videos with close family members such as father, brother, uncle, and grandfather. The findings revealed that they had experienced sexual harassment by their family members if they do not maintain the Islamic manners in addition to being excessively exposed to the unlimited information technology facility. The findings also showed that there are unsafe elements towards female teenagers at home if the family well-being mechanism is not properly and well maintained. The implications of this study suggested a development of a mobile application to identify the initial signs of sexual harassment towards female teenagers. ABSTRAK Gangguan seksual merupakan perlakuan berbaur seks yang dilakukan terhadap individu lain sama ada berbentuk lisan, bukan lisan, fizikal atau emosi. Gangguan seksual boleh berlaku kepada remaja perempuan ketika mereka berada di dalam atau di luar rumah. Metodologi kajian menggunakan kaedah tinjauan yang melibatkan kajian kuantitatif dan dianalisis menggunakan perisian statistik SPSS 2.0. Objektif kajian adalah untuk meneroka sejauh mana risiko gangguan seksual berlaku kepada remaja perempuan sewaktu di dalam rumah.  Seramai 84 orang remaja perempuan yang berusia sembilan hingga 15 tahun di negeri Selangor telah mendapat kebenaran daripada ibu bapa dan penjaga masing-masing untuk menjadi peserta kajian. Kajian mendapati seramai 7.14% remaja perempuan mengakui suka berpakaian seksi di rumah dan pernah menonton video pornografi bersama ahli keluarga terdekat seperti bapa, abang, bapa saudara serta datuk. Dapatan juga menunjukkan mereka mengalami gangguan seksual dalam kalangan ahli keluarga sekiranya mereka tidak menjaga adab-adab Islam disamping banyak terdedah dengan kemudahan teknologi maklumat yang tiada batasan. Dapatan juga menunjukkan wujudnya elemen yang tidak selamat kepada anak-anak remaja perempuan yang berada dalam rumah sekiranya mekanisme kesejahteraan keluarga tidak dipelihara dengan baik dan betul. Implikasi kajian ini mencadangkan pembangunan sebuah aplikasi mudah alih bagi mengenalpasti tanda-tanda awal gangguan seksual yang berlaku kepada remaja perempuan
